He is busy at work, and has been for weeks. I know it sounds stupid, but I really miss him. Even though on a normal night we might sit here for a few hours, and sit together in silence, but he is still there is I need to talk to him, or if I decide I want a hug RIGHT THEN.
I just miss being around him most of my day, by the time he gets home I get him some tea, it’s basically time for bed.
I also realised just how much I can’t wait to be his wife. I cannot wait, and I love we both the decision early on that our wedding would be ours only, it may shock our family and friends, but our wedding/marriage our choice!

However, being home alone for weeks on end means I’ve watched way too much television I probably wouldn’t watch with the boy. I can’t watch my favourite shows, why? Because the boy watches them too! I have gone through about 3 and a half seasons of One Tree Hill. I love it! I’m hooked. Luckily, the boy hasn’t had to watch all those seasons with me, I’ve just had a marathon to keep me company.
Also, the Foxtel channel ‘You.’ It has the WORST shows, but I have it on constantly. It plays shows like, ‘Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?’ (a show about bridezillas), ‘Hitched or DItched’ (within a week the couple has to choose to either get married or break up) and ‘Don’t Tell The Bride’ (the groom organises the wedding without the bride knowing.), plus all those tragic make over shows air constantly. It’s terrible but I just can’t turn it off.

If you can’t be bothered watching the video, at least the lyrics.

Got a man, call him my boyfriend, think I’ve fallen in love
The only man that gives me the things that I am worthy of
Hugs me and holds me, kisses me softly, calls me back right away
He communicates his feelings to me and cares what I have to say
He says “Baby, I love you, baby, I need you. Never gonna let you go”

Writes me love notes, takes me shopping and to Broadway shows
Talk to him like he is a girlfriend, slumber party every night
I’ve never felt so happy before, he’s almost Mr. Right
But I think he’s hot and I think he’s sweet
And I think he’s gay and I think he’s neat
Okay, okay, so my boyfriend’s gay
But what does it matter anyway?
He hasn’t come out of the closet yet
‘Til then, I’ll take all that I can get

If he doesn’t think I know
But I know, I know, I’ve always known
If he doesn’t think it shows
But it shows, for sure, it’s always shown
You might think it’s a little sad
But he’s the best lover that I’ve ever had

At night, when we’re lying in bed
He’s not hard, it’s okay, ’cause he gives me head
Like my mom always says
“It takes more than a pound to be good in bed”
You don’t know the meaning of “rock your world”
‘Til you’ve been with a guy who thinks like a girl

He lies and says he’s on meds, that’s why he’s never stiff
When I ask if he’s not into me, he always says, “As if!”
But the way he makes up for his shortcomings just could not be finer
‘Cause my new best friend is his tongue and his is my vagina
He reappears from under the covers, looking like he’s been to war
Breaks a sweat, catches his breath, and comes down back for more
After that, he’s never tired, he just want to talk
And cuddles me until I sleep, then takes his dog for a walk

Someday he’ll come out and I’ll be happy for him when he does
And I know I’ll be sad and thinking of what was
Someday this fairytale will come to an end
‘Cause his fairy tail will find a like-minded friend

If he doesn’t think I know
But I know, I know, I’ve always known
If he doesn’t think it shows
But it shows, for sure, it’s always shown
You don’t need no penetration
When you got a good dose of overcompensation

At night, when we’re lying in bed
He’s not hard, it’s okay, ’cause he gives me head
Like my mom always says
“It takes more than a pound to be good in bed”
You don’t know the meaning of slot machine
‘Til you’ve been with a king who thinks like a queen

I know it’s not forever, but that’s okay
‘Cause I’m his girlfriend, and he’s my gay (cha cha cha)

This is the third day I haven’t posted for, it was supposed to be every two days. However, I do feel slightly more productive. Yesterday, I organised my University work, and started on week 1 work. Today, I have been scrubbing the house clean for our rental inspection. Bathroom, bleached and spotless. Check. Lounge room, spotless. Check. Kitchen is half way done, I’m over it already. Lunch break and then I’ll finish, I promise.

Something I’ve realised in the last week that I left my first job in a fun bakery to further my Marketing career. I have a job in a medium sized company, that can definitely use some marketing direction. I got the job because of my nearly finished marketing degree, and was spoke to straight away with what I could do. However, then all the management changed and that option quickly disappeared. I’ve tried to do little bits and pieces but keep getting drafted back to my “actual job”. I don’t know whether I accept I won’t get the chance, and do my job well and look for a new marketing job when my degree is completed. Or do I just keep handing them ideas and hope someday they let me run with it and give me time to do it? I have a plan that’s a good four pages long, I don’t know if I should finish it up and give it to my management. Any ideas?

However, I have actually stuck to making a Tumblr for How I Met Your Mother. Slap Countdown. It’s quickly approaching 100 followers, it’s fun! I guess that’s one thing I’ve stuck to online in the last few months.

I have two goals, I need to start posting every second day on taciturnly, and thanks to inspiration from Jenn I want to make a new layout.

Raspberry cupcakes were my plan for today, first recipe out of “Cupcakes” by Martha Swift and Lisa Thomas, which was a birthday gift. However, something occurred which made it impossible without a second run to the shopping centre in one day (which I could not be bothered doing. Paul Anka, my lovely little dog decided to eat the butter.

He is currently looking a little sorry for himself, laying on the couch with a pathetic look on his face. I’m not sure whether it is because of the consumption of butter, or the fact now he won’t be able to steal the cupcakes wrappers after we eat the cupcakes.

So I thought I’d show off my last batch of cupcake. I’m sorry for how blurry the photos are, my iPhone 3G is definitely not a 3GS. This were by far the best batch I’ve done. They didn’t burst open, or burn at all, or even cook unevenly. Then the buttercream icing actually worked and the swirl stayed perfect!

With a lot of my Twitter friends and many writers of the blogs I read losing weight, and me being the heaviest I’ve ever been. I’ve jumped on the healthy eating bandwagon. I’m size AU10 (US6), and I hate it, I need to lose quite a few kilos, and I need to tone up a lot. The thing I struggle with is deciding how much I need to lose, I tend to lose more than is considered healthy. At least once a year I bounce to the low range of the healthy section back up to the mid range of the BMI scale. Rinse. Repeat. I don’t want to do that yet again, I just want to lose a few kilos (probably around 6-9 kilos, any more than that and I start to drop to the borderline of healthy/underweight) and I also need to tone up.

I have a loving fiancé, who loves my size/weight/etc and I should learn to be happy with myself. Though going shopping for clothes is reason for hiding away in bed for the rest of the day, I should still do fun things for myself. Like I want to go get my hair cut (somewhere fun like South Lake hair Salon), get my third tattoo, start wearing makeup more often, and get my nails done! Time to move on my yoyo weight drama.

Anyway, I have news…. I am engaged. The boy is now my fiancé! The boy was sweet and surprised me by taking myself and little one to the beach. At one stage he bent down with the little one, and I turned around to her walking up with a ring box. When I opened it, I looked back and he was still on his knees and asked me.

So yes, I’m engaged and uber excited, giddy and happy

I thought I’d sum up my favourite shows of 2009. They aren’t new, some are shows that have been aired and cancelled. Some are comedy and some are drama. However, all are awesome and all I vote are the best shows of 2009. Here they are, favourite at the bottom.

30 Rock

30 Rock. This was one of the first shows we started watching in a marathon style. How could we not, with the humour of Tina Fey, the acting of Alec Baldwin, we watched episode after episode. As I once read, every Tracey Jordan line is a funny quote by itself, but I thought I’d share some others.

Liz: If I have learned anything from my Sims family: When a child doesn’t see his father enough he starts to jump up and down, then his mood level will drop until he pees himself.

Jenna: Hey, I’ve gotta miss an hour of rehearsal today ’cause I just found out from my publicist that I’ve been booked on The View.
Pete: Oh, Jenna, that’s great. For the first time in your life, you’ll be in a room full of women and you’ll be the least crazy one.
Jenna: Yeah, I know!

Buffy

Buffy. When it was first airing, my sister watched it, I basically wasn’t allowed to. I watched what I could, but this year I bought the boy season 1, then season 7, 6, and 5. I’m hooked, I love Anya, Tara, and Spike. Buffy is average, mainly only because she was mean to Spike. It jumped between being fun, to serious. From Dollhouse and this, I love Joss Whedon.

Spike: You know you take the killing for granted. And then it’s gone. And you’re like, I wish I’d appreciated it more. Stopped and smelled the corpses.

Xander: Am I right, Giles?
Giles: I’m almost certain you’re not, but to be fair, I wasn’t listening.

How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother. It’s a show I didn’t think we’d like, and when I mention it other people they tend to think it’s average. But it’s bloody awesome. Funny, clever, and has Neil Patrick Harris. (Did everyone else not know he was gay, ‘cos I didn’t?) The cleverness in the episodes is hard to explain without watching numerous episodes, the brocode isn’t funny without knowing NPH’s character, and me saying ‘havvvvvve you met Ted?” isn’t funny without watching them try to pick up.

Lily: On Monday I’m going to have to tell my kindergarten class, who I tell not to run with scissors, how my fiance ran me through with a freakin’ broadsword!
Marshall: Technically, it didn’t go all the way through.
Lily: I’m sorry, were we having a discussion about the degree to which you stabbed me?

Lily: We should come up with a whole new last name.
Marshall: Oh, that’s easy; Lily and Marshall Skywalker.
Lily: Lily and Marshall Hasselhoff.
Marshall: Oh, got it. Lily and Marshall Awesome. Hey have you met the Awesomes? Lily, Marshall their son Totally and their daughter Freaking?

Fringe

Fringe. We’ve really only just started watching this show in the last month. I love Walter, slightly crazy scientist guy who owns a cow. It’s clever, it’s clever in a way most people would never notice. The blue and red lights that only occur when something is going down? The fact the observer is in every episode (even before you meet him)? And, the clues for the next episode in the current?
Just awesome, clever awesome and must keep catching up.

Walter: Miss, I’m going to repeat the demonstration with the rice. Would you care to watch?
Astrid: Nope.
Walter: Okay!

Peter: How’s it going, Walter?
Walter: I plan to urinate in twenty-three minutes.

Glee

Glee. Ohh. My. God. This show is awesome. The music, the humor, the storylines. Oh. My. God. AWESOME. I don’t think I have much more to add. Last scene from season 1, mix of all the dances and sums the whole season up!

Blue Heelers

Blue Heelers. A show most of my readers wouldn’t know, or can barely remember. It finished in 2006, after running for 13 seasons and over 500 episodes. Based around a fictional town called Mt. Thomas, the crime capital of Australia, even though it was a small country town. Most people wouldn’t care this show ended, but I grew up with it, the town Mt. Thomas was just part of my life.
At a time, the show gave me an out, it was an escape. It also introduced me to someone I hold close to my heart, actually quite a few people. We become friends because of this show, and stayed friends because I love them. It also introduced me to Jane Allsop. She played feisty awesome Jo Parrish.

If there was one person I’d give anything to met, it would be Jane Allsop.

I once hugged her, but forgot to get a photo with her. I would love to meet her one last time and explain to her how she saved me from myself. In fact, I would give up a lot just to send her a letter.

She’s beautiful, talented, and I just want to thank her.

Anyway, this show kicks arse. Funny one liners, fun filled crime drama, and just some awesomely developed characters.

Tess: Jo, you better do something about this statement of yours.
Jo: No way! That is exactly what happened.
Tess: No, I meant fix the typos. Price is spelt with an ‘E’ on the end, not a ‘k’.
Jo: Yes, well, once you know him it’s the only way you can spell it.

Susie: What is wrong with these men?
Jo: It’s simple. Inside every man is a twelve-year-old boy.
Susie: And inside everyone woman?
Jo: Is a twelve-year-old girl. But twelve-year-old girls are much more mature than twelve-year-old boys.

This was my first attempt of something other than vanilla or chocolate cupcakes, with either vanilla or chocolate icing! They were peanut butter cupcakes, with cream cheese icing. I was surprised that the peanut butter wasn’t over powering, but just enough. The recipe was simple enough that it made a great baking activity for myself and little miss (who is three.)

Ingredients

55 g butter (softened)

225 g soft light brown sugar

115 g peanut butter

2 eggs

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

225 g plain flour

100 mL milk

Method

Preheat the oven to 180c

Line baking tray with 30 mini cupcake patty pans.

Combine butter, sugar, and peanut butter. Mix well.

Gradually beat in eggs and add vanilla extract.

Sift in the flour and baking powder, then fold them into the mixture while adding the milk.

Spoon into patty pans.

Bake for around ten minues, or until well risen and golden brown. (I need to learn to put in less batter per cupcake, explosion cupcakes!)

Once cooled, add cream cheese icing.

We as a family have eaten a few too many of these cupcakes, I’m fairly sure they are going to be requested often.

I am looking forward to perfect both the “cupcake shape” as mine tend to explode and get uber big. I just want to get one batch that are kinda awesome looking!

I have a list of cupcakes I want to make. All types, from carrot and orange to banana and pecan, to chocolate brownie cupcakes! I’m going to get real fat eating these….
